First Post-Ludum Dare Update
In the Hole » Devlog
Welcome back to the hole!
This initial post-ludum dare update is relatively small. It adds some features that I had planned to include in the original LD submission, but didn't have time for. It also includes some suggestions from the wonderful Ludum Dare participants who commented on the submission page.
I have some more ideas for this game that I may develop if there is enough demand for it. My current plans can be found here. Please leave some feedback if you would be interested in any of those additions!
Changes include:
- HTML5 build! Godot rocks!
- Rebalancing the economy. This was done by:
- Making buildings cost credits instead of Minerals.
- Making resources always cheaper to extract than to buy.
- This is balanced by a larger initial debt and adding Minerals to the daily collection.
- Build menu now opens when a tunnel is placed so you don't have to click it again.
- Buildings can be selected by hotkey to further reduce clicking.
- T - Tunnel
- F - Fortification
- E - Extractor
- R - SensoR
- Radii of buildings are shown on hover before being selected.
- The trade hub is now always accessible even if it is scrolled off screen.
- The cost of buildings/materials is also now displayed on hover.
- Even more statistics are tracked and added to the Stats screen!
- Some new fun things to play with in the dark ;)
